Manuscripts & Textual Witnesses
Preserved identically in Papyrus 45, 66, 75 (2nd–3rd centuries) and all major codices. The contrast between thief and shepherd shows no variation. The famous phrase 'life... more abundantly' (in Greek, 'life... and abundantly') appears consistently. Some translations interpret 'abundantly' differently, but the Greek text (perisson) is uniform across all manuscripts.
