1 Peter
- Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
- Peter 1:7casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
- Peter 1:8whom not having known you love; in whom, though now you don't see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory—
- Peter 1:9But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- Peter 1:15But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear,
- 1 Peter 2:21For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
- 1 Peter 2:24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
- 1 Peter 3:8Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous,
- 1 Peter 4:10As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.
- 1 Peter 5:5Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and subject yourselves to one another; for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
- 1 Peter 5:10But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
